Having him spearhead the relaunch of “What If…?” was a stroke of genius, because if there’s one thing that’s clear, Zdarsky is a chameleon (no, not that Chameleon!). ![]() It probably goes without saying at this point in his career, but Chip Zdarsky is on a white-hot writing streak right now. Spider’s Shadow gives readers a look at a Peter Parker who never parted ways with his infamous symbiote suit, thus never spawning Venom, and taking a path far, far darker than any Peter Parker readers might have ever known. Marvel’s new “What If…?” branding begins this week with Spider-Man: Spider’s Shadow, an only mildly redundantly-titled miniseries outing courtesy writer Chip Zdarsky, artist Pasqual Ferry, colorist Matt Hollingsworth, and letterer Joe Caramagna. ![]()
